It's components:
The Holy Children Mushrooms contain psilocybin (also known as 4-PO-DMT or 4-phosphoryloxy-N, N-dimethyltryptamine) is an alkaloid prodrug of the classic hallucinogenic compound: psilocin, responsible for the psychoactive effect of certain edible mushrooms. Both substances are members of the indole and tryptamine classes. Mushrooms containing psilocybin are used both recreationally and traditionally for spiritual and healing purposes, with a history spanning millennia.
Psilocybin is produced naturally by around 200 species of fungi, including those of the Psilocybe genus such as P. cubensis, P. semilanceata and P. cyanescens, and it has also been published that it has been isolated from a dozen genera. They are collectively known as psilocybin mushrooms. The possession, and in some cases the use of psilocybin or psilocin, is illegal in many countries around the world.
Once ingested, psilocybin is rapidly metabolized to psilocin, which acts as a partial agonist at the 5-HT2A and 5-HT1A serotonin receptors in the brain. The effects of psilocybin normally last 3-8 hours; however, for the individuals who consume it, the effect seems much longer due to the distortion produced in the perception of time. Psilocybin has a low toxicity and a lethal dose due to ingestion of this substance has not been documented.
What to expect from a Mushroom Ceremony?
There is no good or bad ceremony, only misunderstood. It is easy to take mushroom, the difficult thing is to understand what comes next. The challenge of the person is to understand the true meanings of the visions that mushrooms show us and to be able to use this learning in our daily lives, therefore, before conducting a session, we always recommend the experimenter not to create “wonderful and magical expectations ”From other people's experiences, because it doesn't always turn out that way, since each person has their own experience. There is nothing more equivocal than expecting this or that thing from a ceremony, since by keeping your attention fixed on a mental hope you will not leave room for what is presented at the moment of truth.
